Eligibility

Inclusion Criteria

– Male or female, age ≥ 45 years
– Body mass index (BMI) ≥ 27 kg/m^2
– Have established cardiovascular (CV) disease as evidenced by ≥ 1 of the following:
1. prior myocardial infarction (Heart Attack) and/or
2. prior stroke (ischemic or haemorrhagic stroke) and/or
3. symptomatic peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and/or
4. peripheral arterial revascularization procedure, or amputation due to atherosclerotic disease

Exclusion Criteria

– HbA1c ≥ 6.5 %
– History of Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes (history of gestational diabetes is allowed)
