Laura Hume, CCRP
Compliance SpecialistLaura is a born and raised Florida girl and a rare Jacksonville native. She graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Psychology and minor in Public Health; as those fields aligned with her passion for learning about people and helping others. Laura began her journey into healthcare as an Oncology Department volunteer at Mayo Clinic. She proceeded to gain full time employment there and over the next few years held various positions including Patient Services Specialist, Medical Administrative Assistant and Clinical Research Coordinator. In March of 2017 she joined the ECIR team. She looks forward to continuous learning and growth in the field of research and in that respect is furthering her education with current enrollment in a Clinical Trials Design and Management program at University of California, San Diego.
Outside of the office Laura enjoys camping, hiking, attending community events, cooking, eating (lots of eating!) and of course spending time with family and friends. She has a passion for traveling as well. So far she has visited 9 other countries in addition to traveling around a good bit of the States. Laura also loves animals from wild to domestic and has two extremely spoiled rescues at home, a dog (Ludo) and a cat (Dexter).
